With all of the uncertainty in the financial marketplace at the present time, we know that a lot of people are concerned about the safety of their hard earned savings. We want to assure you that here at Secure Credit Union, your deposits are Federally Insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, the insurance arm of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), insurance backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government, the same way FDIC insures bank deposits. In addition, we carry Excess Deposit Insurance issued by the Massachusetts Share Insurance Coproration (MSIC), an independent excess deposit insurance corporation. We review member accounts on a regular basis to make sure they are within the insurance limits, so no member deposit here at Secure Credit Union is uninsured.

The 2008 Book Drive for Homeless Children was a rousing success, thanks to the generous support of our members! This year we collected the highest number of books we've ever collected, accumulating over 300 new and used books. The drive, in partnership with the Massachusetts Credit Union League and the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless, collects books statewide for homeless children. The books are then distributed to kids all over the state and locally through the Coalition's distribution centers. We thank Lois (pictured left), our drive coordinator, as well as the rest of the staff for their work on the project. Most of all, we thank our generous members without whom the drive would not be a success. On behalf of the credit union, the league and the coalition, we thank you!
